<p>Our media campaign for a charity fundraiser benefitting Hurricane Sandy victims relocating to Chicago created a great deal of media buzz in the Chicago area.  The Laugh Factory Chicago event, featuring comedienne Sarah Benincasa and a musical performance from Dylan McDonald and the Avians (featuring frontman Dylan McDonald, son of five-time Grammy winner Michael McDonald), sparked an immediate reaction from the media.</p>
<p>With a campaign that started just before Christmas and an event date set for the week between Christmas and New Year’s, we anticipated that placing the story, when people were winding down for the break and some already out of the office, would be difficult.  The first call came in from nationally recognized reporter Pam Oliver, and the responses just kept coming.  With phones ringing off the hook and email inboxes flooded as fifty major media outlets clambered for details, a press conference was held, detailing the relocation program and what it meant for both Sandy evacuees and the city of Chicago.</p>

<p>Political campaigns come with their own unique set of needs.  At Large PR was hired four days before the California primary election to supercharge Dr. Orly Taitz’s campaign, working in conjunction with MVP PR and Marketing of West Palm Beach, Florida to produce maximum results in a narrow window of time.</p>
<p>At Large and MVP faced incredible challenges after being brought on late in the game and having 48 out of the 96 hours that they were given coincide with the weekend, when both the press and the Twitterati were not active.  They also had to quickly develop targeted, localized followers, likes, and impressions, limiting them to the conservative voters of California.</p>
<p>Despite the many challenges, they worked together to drive fantastic results:</p>
<p>-          Over 800 targeted, localized Twitter followers in three and a half days.</p>
<p>-          Media campaign that resulted in over 50 articles.</p>
<p>-          Over 1.6 million impressions on Facebook.</p>
<p>-          Over 274 likes on Facebook.</p>

<p>Just like the external stamp of approval from the press builds your business’s credibility, the external stamp of approval from a celebrity on Twitter builds your business’s credibility, as well as offering an important cue to others that you have something worth saying and that you are worthy of being followed. Celebrities have thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of followers. By re-tweeting a link to your website, your website’s hits will go up exponentially, leading people to your business and giving the search engines the all-important signal that you are in demand, as well as increasing the number of your followers on Twitter.</p>

<li>Through witty, well-worded, catchy tweets that appealed to celebrities, Sin City VIP’s tweets not only got noticed and read by these people, they got re-tweeted.</li>

<li>They also received quality re-tweets, mentions, and public replies from major Strip casinos and nightclubs including: Pure Nightclub at Caesar’s Palace, ghostbar Nightclub at the Palms, the Bellagio, the President of the Monte Carlo Las Vegas Resort and Casino, and Artisan, among many others.</li>
<li>DJ Scotty Boy, voted one of the top 10 DJ’s in America for three consecutive years, was one of the first followers of Sin City VIP thanks to the quality tweets that they were putting out.</li>

<p>At Large PR established a Twitter presence for them overnight, literally.  Finding targeted followers who were interested in Las Vegas nightlife and entertainment news, they had 370 followers in the first 24 hours that their Twitter page was live, 620 followers in the first 48 hours, and 1475 followers by the end of the first week.</p>
